His favorite part of being a dentist is getting to know patients over time and helping them build healthy smiles they can feel good about. That personal connection shapes the experience at Bell Road Dentistry.
Why dentistry felt right.
Dr. Nielsen's interest in dentistry began when he was young. His best friend's father was a dentist, and the time he spent asking questions and shadowing dental professionals helped turn curiosity into a clear direction.
What stayed with him was dentistry's ability to improve both health and confidence. Growing up in a family deeply connected to its community also taught him the value of showing up for others. Today, those early lessons still guide the way he cares for patients.

Dr. Nielsen studied biology at Brigham Young University before earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the College of Dental Medicine at Roseman University of Health Sciences.
He enjoyed the academic side of dentistry so much that he has spent time tutoring aspiring dental students. He brings that same curiosity to patient care: keep learning, explain the options, and make thoughtful decisions together.
Care with a wider purpose.
After dental school, Dr. Nielsen took part in humanitarian trips to Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, and Honduras, providing care to people who needed it. Those experiences deepened his appreciation for the difference good dental care can make in a person's daily life.
When he is away from the office, he enjoys golf, time outdoors, and being with his wife and two sons.
