When a crown makes sense
We examine the tooth and the surrounding tissue, evaluate your bite, and discuss whether it can be restored. Crowns may be made from different materials, including natural-looking ceramic options. The choice depends on the tooth, your goals, and the forces it must withstand. We aim for a fit that lets you eat comfortably and clean the area well.
Replacing a tooth with a bridge
A traditional bridge spans a gap and is supported by neighboring teeth. An implant-supported bridge uses implants rather than natural teeth for support. Neither is automatically right for everyone. We compare the condition of the supporting teeth, bone, cleaning needs, expected maintenance, and cost with other replacement options before recommending a path.
What happens at your visit
After diagnosing the problem, we explain the preparation, scan or impression, and restoration steps. Some cases may allow an efficient same-day approach; others require a lab-made restoration and a temporary in the meantime. We check the fit and bite carefully when the final crown or bridge is placed and explain how to care for it at home.
