Intraoral Camera
Our intraoral camera is a small handheld device that we can easily maneuver around your mouth to gain a magnified, clear image of hard-to-see areas. The footage is shown on a chairside monitor, which is a great resource to help us better explain problems that we’ve diagnosed and how our recommended treatment will fix the issue. These gadgets allow us to catch small or hard-to-spot issues that may not be obvious to the naked eye, ensuring that they get treated before they have a chance to cause additional damage.
Digital X-Rays
In the past, dentists would use film X-rays to view the inside of your teeth and the area of your mouth that lies below the gums. The downsides were that it took awhile to develop the images, making visits last longer than necessary, and the pictures would come out unclear, which could result in inaccurate diagnoses. Today, we utilize all-digital X-ray imaging that reduces radiation exposure by up to 90 percent and makes each of your checkups more accurate and faster.
CT/Cone Beam Scanner
The CT/Cone Beam Scanner is one of the cutting edge pieces of equipment that we have at Bell Road Dentistry to help us better diagnose your oral health. The CT/Cone Beam Scanner is mostly used for more advanced cases such as implants and more intensive restorative procedures.
